Tabs and panes

• Multiple PTY sessions with tabs (Ctrl+T new, Ctrl+W close)
• Split panes, up to 16 per tab — iTerm2-style with hover close buttons. ⌥D splits vertical, ⇧⌥D horizontal, ⌥←→↑↓ moves focus, ⌥W closes a pane
• Special splits: ⌥B adds a browser pane, ⌥M a markdown pane beside the terminal
• Layout templates from single up to a 16-pane grid

Shells

System default ($SHELL) with zsh, bash, fish, or a custom path selectable in Settings → Nautify. PowerShell on Windows. Shell integration recognizes OSC 133 prompt marks for prompt detection; xNAUT never injects hooks into your shell config.

Rendering

Full xterm.js rendering with 256-color and truecolor, clickable URLs, and Cmd +/-/0 font zoom (8–32 px, also works in markdown docs). Font size, background opacity, and ligatures are configurable.

Bundled Nerd Fonts: JetBrains Mono NF (default), Fira Code NF, Cascadia Code NF, Source Code Pro NF — plus system fonts in the picker (SF Mono, Menlo, Monaco, IBM Plex Mono).

Themes

• 6 built-in presets — xNAUT Instrument, Jellybeans, Default Dark, Dracula, Solarized Light, Monokai — each with full ANSI palettes and live preview
• ~50 bundled themes (since 1.9.3) — all four Catppuccins, Gruvbox, Nord, Rosé Pine, Kanagawa, Tokyo Night, One Half, Ayu, GitHub Dark & Light, Synthwave '84, Everforest, and more
• AI Theme Generator — describe a vibe, get a complete theme (tries AntBot locally first, then your configured provider)
• Import — Warp YAML, Warp JSON, Windows Terminal, and iTerm2-style JSON files
• Theming is app-wide: terminal, editor, and chrome all follow the theme

Command history & drag-drop

Ctrl+R opens command history search. Drag any file or folder from the right-pane tree onto a terminal to insert its shell-quoted path.
